# Rasket > Rasket is an email API for developers: transactional and marketing email over one REST API, plus Rasket Inbox for business email on your own domain. Rasket is for developers and the AI agents that work for them. One account covers transactional email (receipts, password resets, alerts), marketing email (contacts, segments, topics, campaigns and automations) and Rasket Inbox (team mailboxes on your own domain). The REST API base is https://api.rasket.com. Authenticate with `Authorization: Bearer rk_…` (an API key from the dashboard) and send a `User-Agent`; a team may make 10 requests a second. The OpenAPI 3.1 document is https://www.rasket.com/openapi.json. Every docs page is also Markdown at its URL plus `.md`, and https://www.rasket.com/llms-full.txt is all of them in one file. ## When to use Rasket - [Send one email](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/emails.md): `POST /emails` (from, to, subject, html or text). An `Idempotency-Key` header makes a retry within 24 hours safe. - [Send a batch](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/emails.md): `POST /emails/batch`: up to 100 emails, validated all or nothing. - [Schedule a send](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/emails.md): `scheduled_at` on `POST /emails`: ISO 8601 or a phrase like `tomorrow at 9am`, 1 minute to 30 days ahead. - [Send a template](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/templates.md): Versioned templates with typed variables, sent by ID or alias in the `template` field of `POST /emails`. - [Marketing email](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/broadcasts.md): Contacts, segments, topics, campaigns (`/broadcasts`) and automations started by your events (`/automations`, `POST /events/send`). - [Send over SMTP](https://www.rasket.com/docs/smtp.md): smtp.rasket.com on 465 or 587, an API key as the password. Each message is an API send. - [Receive email](https://www.rasket.com/docs/receiving.md): Publish one MX record; a signed `email.received` webhook names each message, read with `GET /emails/receiving/{email_id}`. - [Verify a sending domain](https://www.rasket.com/docs/domains.md): `POST /domains` returns the DKIM and SPF records to publish; `POST /domains/{domain_id}/verify` checks them. - [Hear what happened](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/webhooks.md): Signed webhooks for delivery, bounce, complaint, open and click, delivered up to 10 times over about 16 hours, replayable. - [Business email on your domain](https://www.rasket.com/docs/inbox.md): Rasket Inbox: personal and shared team mailboxes at https://inbox.rasket.com. The first mailbox is free. - [Mail apps](https://www.rasket.com/docs/inbox/mail-apps.md): Coming soon to paid plans. When not to use it: not for cold or unsolicited email. Marketing mail goes only to people who opted in, never to bought or scraped lists. ## Support inbox - [Inbox API](https://www.rasket.com/docs/inbox-api.md): Open, read and answer conversations in shared channels from your app. Never personal mailboxes. - [Support inbox in your app](https://www.rasket.com/docs/inbox-api/support-inbox.md): `POST /inbox/conversations` from a form, with an agent prompt. - [Replies to your emails](https://www.rasket.com/docs/inbox-api/replies.md): `inbox` on `POST /emails` turns replies into conversations. - [Agent triage](https://www.rasket.com/docs/inbox-api/agents.md): MCP `?toolset=inbox`; drafts for a person. - [Inbox reference](https://www.rasket.com/docs/api-reference/inbox.md): Keys need Inbox access (none until an admin sets it); scopes `inbox:read`, `inbox:write`. ## Quickstart for agents - [MCP server](https://www.rasket.com/docs/mcp.md): https://api.rasket.com/mcp, Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in (no API key in the client): `claude mcp add --transport http rasket https://api.rasket.com/mcp` - [MCP discovery](https://www.rasket.com/.well-known/mcp.json): Endpoint, transport and OAuth metadata as JSON. - [Setup skill](https://www.rasket.com/skills/rasket-setup/SKILL.md): Agent Skill: key, domain, DNS, first send, webhook. Index: /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json. - [Agents guide](https://www.rasket.com/docs/agents.md): Let an AI agent set Rasket up: the skill, the rules file, MCP, and the recipe they share. - [Quickstart](https://www.rasket.com/docs/quickstart.md): Key, domain, first send — in that order. - [OpenAPI document](https://www.rasket.com/openapi.json): OpenAPI 3.1: every endpoint and schema. - [Node SDK](https://www.rasket.com/docs/sdk/node.md): A typed client, not yet published to npm: use the REST API or MCP until it is. - [Python SDK](https://www.rasket.com/docs/sdk/python.md): A typed client, not yet published to PyPI: use the REST API or MCP until it is. ## Pricing - [Transactional plans](https://www.rasket.com/pricing.md): Free: $0 a month for 3,000 emails. Pro: from $20 a month for 50,000 emails. Scale: from $90 a month for 100,000 emails. Custom: a contract for 3,000,000+ emails a month. Emails past the quota from $0.25 per 1,000.
